El Dorado 39, Buckingham Charter 29 >> The Buckingham Knights lost their first game of league play Tuesday night at El Dorado Adventist.

Despite keeping up with the Eagles for much of the evening, the Knights were unable to overcome a deficit they faced throughout the night and ultimately fell 39-29.

“We came up against a David and Goliath game with El Dorado Adventist having some extremely powerful and tall post players,” said head coach Tessa Threets. “We switched up the defense to using a 5 Guard defense and offense and they created some chaos. The problem was, we still had some trouble execution and converting. But I have to applaud the effort.”

Buckingham was led by Sana German as she scored a team-high nine points and garnered a team-best six steals. Chenin Gelera scored four points and tallied two steals, while Cesia Carballer chipped in three boards and a pair of steals.
